Seventeen years of learning about me, and experiencing life together. These are ladies that always enable me to take that breath of fresh air, to just breathe, and know that whatever is going on in any of our lives, that we are here for each other.
One of my aforementioned friends will travel to Italy this week, and it made me start thinking about how important this trip is for me and my husband to really explore cultures, individuals, and environments that we either didn't know existed, or only read about in books and watched in movies.
Time for change. Time for experience. Time for growth.
I am getting excited you all.
I am truly feeling like everything is coming together. Bless my dear heart, but being the preparer I am, I had to make sure I had EVERYTHING I thought I possibly needed. For Whitney, my roommate, while studying abroad:
If I have everything else and forget my dern toothpaste, please forgive me:)
On another note, we have an exciting week we have been prepping for. We voted on Tuesday, May 8th, and while the results were not what we had voted for, we still respect others and their beliefs, and will continue to believe and fight for equality.
Brian Hall doesn't know it, but on Friday of this week, he will be helping me cook. This is because we are hosting a "Mad Men-themed mid season party" at our home on Saturday. I am beyond hyped about this. This is one of our favorite shows besides "The Walking Dead." Gotta love some AMC. Hopefully, I can post pictures on Facebook before we leave:)
In addition, Saturday morning I will be participating in a general audition in Cary. I will be performing the role of Blanche Dubois from Tennessee William's, "A Streetcar Named Desire." Again, totally hyped. So thankful I have a husband who motivated me to do things I enjoy and finally resumed after many years.
On Sunday, I head to Fayetteville to see my ma for Mother's Day. I will be staying for about two nights, visiting her and dadda. Hopefully my dadda will be feeling ok health-wise. He sure has been through a lot!
With my return back to Raleigh, I will make sure I have things packed accordingly, and on Wednesday night, my sweet Brian will take me to watch "Wicked." For those who don't know me, "The Wizard of Oz" is my favorite movie, and I have longed for so long now to see "Wicked."
“You have plenty of courage, I am sure," answered Oz. "All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.”

The next day, Thursday, we fly out to London.
I will make sure I keep posting you all, and thank you all for the kind words as we "hop the pond."
Here's to
